CLAT 2018 marks distribution, Marking scheme

The CLAT 2018 is an exam conducted for the students to join in undergraduate and postgraduate courses (LLB and LLM). The CLAT 2018 question paper for undergraduate students contains multiple choice questions. The total marks of the paper are 200.

CLAT 2018 marks distribution

The paper includes five sections such as English along with comprehension for 40 marks, general knowledge/current affairs for 50 marks, elementary mathematics for 20 marks, legal aptitude for 50 marks and logical reasoning for 40 marks. Each correct answer will carry one mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer.

 The CLAT question paper for post graduate includes two sections. The long essay type and multiple choice questions. The marks allotted for long essay type is 100 and for MCQ is 50. The total marks for the paper are 150. The candidates should attend the test based on the distribution of marks for each section.

The students who are attempting the CLAT 2018 exam should satisfy the eligibility criteria. The CLAT 2018 cutoffs for different categories will be announced soon on the official website. The CLAT 2018 expected cutoff for the SC/ST/OBC/General is mentioned below.

For undergraduate courses, the candidates of general category should secure 45% of marks in 10th and 12th. The SC/ST category students should secure 40% of marks. For postgraduate courses, the candidates belong to General/ OBC/PWD should secure 55% of marks in their LLB or in any other examination which is equivalent to LLB. The SC/ST category students should secure 50% of marks.
